On my way to my first scheduled stop, the Storm King Art Center, I saw several historic sites and paid some of them a brief visit.
I had a reservation for mid-afternoon at the art center but traffic had been light and I was ahead of schedule giving me the time to make the extra stops. One of the stops was at Fort Montgomery, important during the American Revolutionary War. Another was at Storm King State Park, near the Art Center, but with no actual connection except for their proximity to Storm King Mountain.
