John Schmidt at (wearing) the controls
I don't remember exactly the event, but I think it was a costume party, possibly the Field Day at the end of the school year, I was in Junior High school. Being the science and A/V class geek, this was my costume.
It is somewhat of a miracle I didn't electrocute myself; that is a "hot chassis" radio with no case you see inside, exposed live 120V AC. The "Christmas lights" and switches were safer, they were something like 10 volts, run off my model train transformer.
Here you can see much of the interior wiring and the "hot chassis" radio with exposed 120V AC at what was the bottom of the costume.
